U.S. Coast Guard License Representation
David Weil currently holds a 200 ton Master's License,
endorsed for sail and tow boats and "commercial
assistance" tow. Unlike other "white collar" captains,
Mr. Weil has actually used his license. Prior to starting
his law practice he worked for companies and individuals,
operating harbor tugs (the old "Upper T" and "Lower
T" in Long Beach Harbor), oil supply boats, commercial
water taxis, dinner boats, excursion boats, and private
yachts. In short, when he talks to a licensed mariner
about a Coast Guard problem, he understands the issues.
He has represented numerous mariners in license prosecutions,
including captains, crew, and tankermen, employed aboard
yachts, diveboats, workboats, tugs, and barges. When
the Coast Guard calls you, gives us a call.
